CENTENNIAL GALA - April 28, 2011
The Rotary Club of Buffalo will celebrate its Centennial with a Gala Dinner on Thursday, April 28, 2011 at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Buffalo. It will be a major event with RI President Ray Klinginsmith as the principal speaker. District Governor, Karen Oakes, will also address us. Club President Charlie Martorana will present highlights of the past 100 years with a look to the next 100. Maryalice Demler, co-anchor of the evening news on WGRZ Channel 2, will be Master of Ceremonies of this black tie affair.
The event will raise funds for the Buffalo Rotary Foundation, which each year makes charitable grants in the local and world community, and is the Club's major benefactor to the Rotary International Foundation and all its good works, including especially Polio Plus, Rotary's drive to eliminate polio from the globe.
A special feature of the evening will be a VIP Reception where you can meet our dignitaries.
The goals of the dinner are:
1-To celebrate the Club's 100 years of service to the community.
2-To recognize the Club's Past Presidents.
3-To gain favorable publicity for the Club and its milestone.
4-To raise funds for the Buffalo Rotary Foundation who receives all revenues.
Eighteen members have pledged to underwrite the cost of tables at $1000 each but we would like to get more. As a table sponsor, you will receive eight tickets to the event, two tickets to the VIP Reception, be recognized from the podium and in the printed program, plus receive a Paul Harris Fellow.
You can order tickets or sponsor a table online by clicking the BUY NOW button
We hope to see every member of the Buffalo Rotary Club, Rotarians from throughout District 7090 and beyond, and guests for this once-in-a-lifetime event!
-Ed Meyer, Chair
